DIY Granola!

Hello everyone I hope you’re doing well! I’ve recently been making this recipe a lot and thought I would share it with you guys. It’s a pretty freelance recipe that I like to throw together when I’m feeling like a hardy snack. I don’t know the exact amount of each ingredient so I pretty much just eyeball it. Granola Recipe

  • quick oats or rolled oats
  • pumpkin seeds
  • sliced almonds
  • puffed rice
  • shredded unsweetened coconut
  • canola oil
  • runny honey
  • cinnamon

Preheat your oven to 350 F. In a large bowl mix together all the dry ingredients to your ratio preferences. Then add approximately 1/4 cup of canola oil depending on how much dry ingredients you have, then add as much honey as necessary until the granola slightly sticks together. Then lay the granola flat on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put it in the oven and stir the oatmeal approximately every 3-5 mins, careful not to burn or over-toast the nuts! Take the granola out when it is golden brown and let it rest on a counter until the granola is dry. Transfer the granola to a jar or container and enjoy! πŸ™‚

How to Use:

I like to use this granola mostly for breakfast purposes. My favourite way to enjoy it is on the smoothie bowls I love to make (future blog post material). You can also eat the granola on yogurt with fresh fruit, or just add milk!

This is a super easy and quick recipe with minimal clean up, hope you enjoy it πŸ™‚
